Hymns

The Hymns and Tasbeha Activity is an opportunity to learn the beautiful hymns cherished by our rich Coptic Orthodox Church.

Guidelines:

1. The hymns  activity is a group activity for all age groups. 

2. Group size is 3-20 participants. If the number of participants is less than 3, an exception request must be submitted.

3. To be eligible for Level 2 hymns, it is essential to record all Level 1 hymns.

4. Visual aids such as lyrics, musical notes, or hand gestures (Hazaat) are permitted for hymns.

5. Refer to the Hymns References provided on the CF website for guidance.

6. Ensure that the recorded videos are of high quality.

7. During the recording, adult voices should not be heard singing along with the children.

8. All the group will be graded. 

Evaluation:

1. Constant Rhythm maintained (not interrupted / stopped): 10%

2. Proper Pronunciation of hymns words (Coptic/English): 30%

3. Correct Tune (according to the references): 25%

4. Consistent and Spiritual performance (The harmony of the team): 25%

5. Number of participants (Who are actually singing and engaged in the recorded video) : 10%

Exception for group size 

If a church has less than3 participants and wants an exception, they need to:

1) Get approval from the church priest(s).

2) Send a request email asking for an exception to coptic.festival.org.uk@gmail.com with the church priest(s) in the email CC

3) The subject line should be "Hymns Exception Request"
